Even though I think they are utter crap, I reckon they will give it a 10.

I don't think they will rate it this bad... expecting at least 8/10 more like 9/10 because this game is a modern attempt to start a new type of game since everyone forgot about Fahrenheit / Indigo Prophecy.

But on the other hand... WTF is EDGE and who cares about their ratings?

I think they've give it a fair go. Looking at scores so far most are high, some are low, mainly those that seem to dislike the whole idea of Heavy Rain or seem to feel it isn't a 'proper' videogame.

Sure EDGE are sometimes inconsistent, but I've yet to find a review source for videogames anywhere that isn't.

They'll give it a 4. I'm probably wrong, but if I'm right I'll have epic bragging rights.

edge will give it a 4/10. Its not an 360 exclusive,too innovative and graphics are too good.

does it really matter what one review sites gives HR? There was always bound to be a few 'below the mark' reviews for this game because it's a risky genre. Either way, the majority of the reviews are strongly positive and this game should fall just short of 90 on metacritic which is still pretty good. Though, it would be nice if it could hold onto 90+ (for bragging rights).

Not sure I'll buy the game but I'll definitely rent it.

screw renting the game. the devs deserve my hard earned cash so they will get 50 euros off me and both of us will be happy.

I don't think Edge are going to give this game a mediocre rating, so 6, 7 and possibly even 8 are out. It's either a 5 or a 9 from them I think. They'll either love it or hate it. It's either worse than Dante's Inferno (6/10) or much better.

It'll be a ridiculously short, boring piece of crap interspersed with a bunch of meaningless QTEs. How anyone would bring themselves to go through such a painfully uninteresting series of button pushes will be beyond comprehension. Earning it a 5.

It will be fresh, mature, suspenseful and the controls will be an inventive and interesting new direction for the QTE style of game play. All that with great replayability from the myriad of different choices leading to different outcomes. "We had great fun killing off all the main characters to see what that ending would be like". Earning it a 9 (probably not a 10).

I think the game has too much going for it to warrant a 5 from Edge, so I'm gonna go with 9.

However, since I consider a poor score to be real possibility, I've immunised myself from crow in mouth disease.
