It is amazing how a game like uncharted 2 sold only 2 million copies. That is still a lot but even halo 3 odst (not that great of a game) managed to sell 4.5 million copies. Anyways did sony and naught dog end up making a profit form uncharted 2?

None of us actually know. We can speculate, and I believe that it already has (but I really don't know at all).

Its sold close to 3 million, and the rumored budget was 20 million. So probably, but who know.

welllllll, i think so, i mean they themselves call it a very successful project... we get free dlc and more dlc, and they are already saying theres going to be a part 3, so somehow, im guessing they made money on this U2

Only 2m copies?....last time I checked its @ 2.70m+, and why compare Halo to this? halo is a big IP, thats as fair as comparing COD to Forza.

Uncharted 1 took 2 years to sell 2.7m and cost 20m to make the game.

Uncharted 2 took months to sell 2.7m and cost them the same to make.

now what do you think Uncharted 2 LTD sales will be? after 2 years with bundles and platinum? 4m seems likely to me, is it enough to gain profit? Id say its pretty much certain that they made a lot.

I'm gonna speculate and say yes, the budget was around $20 million and it has sold close to 3 million copies. They have also recently released a DLC Skin Pack for $5 I believe. That should definitely help them make more profit.

Of course it did. It's sold a lot. Comparing it to games that sell more has nothing to do with whether the project was profitable.

I'm saying: Yes, they easily made a lot of profit.
