Of course,  I do have to question the move though,  I understand Microsoft trying to make a push into the Japan market, but offering a bigger HDD does not seem like the way to go.  This is something they should've released in NA and EU. I hate to say it, but they should just give up the fight in Japan.

i still can't understand why the Japanese market share is so far from reach to decent level. Well atleast now ps3 relaunched version seems to have suited the current Japanese market to perform better. I can't help but think that the very idea of increasing hard disk capacity thru add-on will emerge less effective in driving sales.

Can't they make it 1tb instead? If they are eager to focus more onto dlc stuff, atleast push the capacity to atleast 500 gb

There's no reason for it to be so expensive.

I bet when you reach 160 gigs it will start screwing up like the 120 gig.

I dont think many people will spend 172 Dollar for a 250gb HD. You can buy a 640 Gb Harddrive for PS3 and still have 50 Dollar left.

its definetly nothing that will push the 360 in Japan. Thats almost the price of a X360 Arcade or a Wii.
