They reduce physical damage by 25% which is what Bay does. When I fought Long Gui I had a Champion Belt * (30% physical reduction) and a Magus Bracelet * (30% magical reduction) on my party leader and General Belt * and Witch Bracelet * (25% magical reduction) on Lightning and Vanille, plus the aformentioned Moonbow Anklet for Daze protection.

With this setup I managed to kill him the second time I fought him with ease, on the second time that I brought down his legs.

Bay brainstorming session:

"Hmm, we need a powerful attack for this enemy"

"You mean like Ultima that will kill the entire party if they aren't all Sentinal when it hits?"

"No, something worse"

.....10 minutes of silence later.....

"I got it, an attack that hits all of the party, does about 18,000 damage to every member, its also a very fast attack with little build up time, it removes friendly buffs on the party and casts Daze so they canot do anything immediatly after it hits!"

"Too weak!"

"Oh, then lets make it spammable and allow Ultima to be cast directly afterwards, so when Daze lands it a 100% kill ultima afterwards"

18K damage? Have you considered equipping General Belts * to your party? :P It reduces the damage to 12K damage, which is a lot more manageable.

I do use damage reduction, it actually hits me for like 12k or so.  I was factoring the damage without protection.

I found a nice CP farming spot on the Steppe, I got bored of farming the Eden adamantoise so started farming the baby tortoises, near the Behemoth/megalion-thing fight just up the slope and around the corner is one by a treasure chest, it doesn't move.  Up the hill from that is another by a chest, doesn't move either.  I just ran back and forth between the two (20s run) getting 120k CP for a 2 minute fight.   Nabbed 6 Dark Matter while doing it too and some gold nuggets, how many of the Dark Matters I need for upgrading?

I'll enumerate the items that use Dark Matters for upgrading, so you can do a cross list:

- Procyons Sazh Weapon
- Adamant Bangle
- Power Glove
- Weirding Glyph
- Royal Armlet (But you're bound to have an Imperial Armlet by now)
- Ribbon

So I got all the Dark Matters I need? Well that saved some cash, two birds with one stone.

Yeah I have an imperial armlet, a mission reward it maybe was. I dunno, it turned up from somewhere.

Yup pretty much xD

Dark matters were easy to farm, at least for me. Shao Long Guis were pretty easy, I was hoping for something more epic at 10M HP :P

I didn't fight Long Guis. I thought they were to un-efficient to kill. I just sold all my stuff instead. Got 4M in 2 seconds. Lol.

Went and got trophy. Then I just reloaded! :D

use a paradigm that as SEN, that SEN should be Snow with at least 20k HP and your other 2 members should have at least 15k HP.
