PS3 reviews actually look good now. Only thing that is really bringing it down is that awful Edge score.

yeah, the edge took the score down by 1.28 %.

Answer that....if you like FFX more, buy it....if you liked FF12 more I'd stay still buy it, but think before buying it.

Since I skipped the PS1/PS2 era completely I never played a single FF game before.

THen please gimme examples of RPG's you have liked......do you prefer story heavy games? & so on

The story is actually the most important element in a JRPG for me. I like to lay back on my couch and just watch a well written cut scene.
