People should stop complaining, it's not even that bad, plus HDDs are more than big enough for these installs.

What else do people use their console for, that would honestly need that 4.5g???

My PS3 is 80G and I know I still have at least 60+ gig left, easily.



  • 2010 MUST Haves: WKC, Heavy Rain, GoWIII, Fable III, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Darksiders, FFXIII, Alan Wake, No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams: FRotM, Trinity: SoZ, BFBC2.
  • Older Need To Buys: Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Deadspace, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2.

There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.

I dont get it, people see a game that needs an install and consider not buying for that reason? Thats the most absurd thing I have ever heard. Want more room, delete some old game data for games you dont play anymore, it doesnt delete your save so you can always just install it again and be right back where you were.

ever since i've been gaming i've had to wait for something to install whats the big deal,is it the i want it now generation,i don't get it

Just install a bigger HDD and be done with it.

I don't even bother managing disk space anymore and I keep well over 200GB of video clips, shows and demos stored on drive.

If that's the only way they could get the game to load smoothly so as not to break the moment mid story, so be it.

I still want a 10GB install for MGS4 so I can jump around the game without having to install individual acts each time.

I expected an install...

Uncharted 2 and KZ2 are pretty much straight paths. Their online components have fairly lengthy loadscreen before each match [Killzone2 has a long one before each main mission in the campaign if I remember].

inFamous, GTA4, AC2, MGS4 - These 4 games offer much more open gameplay and they all had installs.

We're talking about a game with a 2000 page script that can change paths dramatically depending on what you do in a single scene, here.
