Forums - Nintendo Discussion - So when will the first Motion+ lightsaber game come out?

I don't know, but they had better be making one. It's been one of the biggest hopes for the system, and even the lightsaber games with the regular motion control have been hits.

My brother prefers the HD sytems, but even he says that would make him a Wii convert. About the only people who don't like the thought of this are the most blind Wii bashers*.

So basically, I really hope Lucasarts is working on one. I don't even care if it's the prequels, it would be a hit.

Now The Force Unleashed 2 could be that, but has it been announced to have Motion+ support?

*I mean the level I haven't even run across online outside of trolls. I met some really blind Sony fanboys at a store who, before the Wii launch, actually said "Who would want to play with a lightsaber game?".

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

SW:TFU 2. Guaranteed.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

we can only hope and wait.

I don't know, but TFU2 is a good bet. LucasArts did give the Wii version a good bit of care (though it wasn't devved by them properly, done by Krome), and they got results (million seller), so they should take the initiative to give it the one basic feature that would make the most sense.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

ps3 arc launch.

Seriously. It would be as dumb as thinking a top down GTA game with cell shading is supposed to sell as much as the 3D games.

Let's hope Lucasarts is smarter than Take Two.

I'd really like to see another Jedi Outcast game myself but entirely in first person. All they need to do is have a look at Red Steel 2 to see how it's done. I'm really surprised they didn't have one ready when MotionPlus launched tbh.

Not only that, but if they do improve the cotnrol they need to improve the graphics on the TFU2. Thats why i sold the first one; it was an eye sore, plus it was a little repetitive..

Everyone who saw a Star Wars film wanted one.

It was probably one of the first things to pop in mind of anyone who imagined a motion control based sword game back when the Nintendo Revolution was announced. Back in 2006.

And then it turned out Wii motion controls weren't that precise or 1:1.

Then Motion Plus gave us Wii Sports Kendo, which while an improvement, was hardly worth buying even a $20 attachment. At that point, I think the only reason we didn't see a Lucas Arts lightsaber duel game is because they had just released one with regular Wii controls. Bad timing.

For me personally, the closest thing we got was No More Heroes even though it used an on screen cue for directional slashes having nothing to do with 1:1 controls. Still a load of fun.

Lucas Arts released that lightsaber duel game, but that didn't seem to even register a ripple when it was announced no M+ due to being deep into development before the M+ dev kits were available.

Personally, I think I'd rather play a lightsaber game on the PS3 now with the Arc controller. Better motion control system, better graphics, higher resolution all mean no reason to wait for something like that to come out for M+ Wii or even buy it on the Wii if such a game was released on both platforms.
