Forums - Nintendo - No investors briefing for this quarter?

I wonder if it has been released yet in Japan, or if there will be one this quarter.

Usually, it means a lot of info in regards to their strategy and other ssues, as well as some reveals. But I guess we will have to wait until end of the FY.

I'm wondering if the runaway success of New Super Mario Bros Wii caused them to rethink their overall strategy with some games.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Let's wait until tomorrow, I hope for some good news.

Is not this the information from the briefing?
(At least the data, if not the strategy)

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

I don't wanna state this as fact, but it looks like once again the West will be getting way less games than Japan is getting. It's getting more ridiculous as time passes by, considering a lot of games will never get localized.

Wonder why Nintendo focuses more on the worst region, while cares the least about their biggest region. Amazing if you ask me!

They are probably treating the "worst region" better to make it become...........a "better region" I suppose. Or simply because it's Japan, which is Nintendo. The West region is doing so well they are probably thinking "Screw them for right now, we have to help our own Japan become just as big". Meh, but that's my view on it.

Not this year, that's what I mean. Japan got 12 games last year, America got 7.

Now this year Japan is getting 11 games, America 7 (out of which 2 are games already released in Japan last year) so actually America is getting 5 new games while Japan is getting 11 new games.

There are 6 games Japan is getting that America won't ( at least this year). And knowing how terrible their localization strategy is, some will never see the light in the USA.
