Forums - Nintendo Discussion - starting a show like nintendo week on youtube to help third parties on wii.

make it something interesting to watch, Sounds pretty obvious but it's a very important point. If you sit there recommending games all that will do is appeal to people who want to know about wii games who will find out about the good ones through websites anyway. so make it interesting and include things that might attract people who wouldn't necessarily hear about these games to watch the video. Tag lines and titles are pretty important as well.

You should help with Nintendo games as well. by that I mean the less popular one's such as Endless Ocean Blue World when it comes out.

Party 3's: I guess I would like you to help Resident Evil The Darkside Chronicals and Super Monkey Ball Step and Roll when it comes out in February.

Marketing is not the only reason. Appeal is also a reason.

Little Kings Story is probably an awesome game. But the genre and play style is just not a widely appealing one.

The thing with third parties is that they won't put the actual mainstream games on the Wii (or when they do, not even market them or take away some of the mainstream features, like Call of Duty not having local multiplayer other than the rail shooter co-op). The big exception is Monster Hunter 3, which is a hit.

The thing with the niche games is third parties and the gaming press pretending they aren't niche and the Wii is making them fail (to the point of lying that No More Heroes is a flop despite the hard, objective sales being the best yet of his career).

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

actual no more heroes was suda 51 highest selling game... I don't understand why people call games flops when they need to look at all the facts... like how much have there other games sold and if there making a second game they clearly had to make some money because there not going to just make another one for fun... also please friend me on here so I can recommend stuff you guys can do to help market... when the show comes out if you want to change your sigs too that would be cool... and yes we do plan on making it interesting.. I have a twin so were going to go at it with that angle and have people's thoughts on games too

Good idea!
Just please don't make it into some kind of extremely amateurish and cheesy video rant, y'know, like 99% of Youtube's vids, with a wobbly camera, breathing in the mic, grainy picture and stuff like that...
Some quality would be really nice and appreciated, abd would also help make people take the wole thing more seriously, since there are already thousands of Wii- and Nintendo-related vids like the ones mentioned above.

naw this is a serious show not a rant or anything like that... I have taken several marketing classes and I don't have the best camera but its not going to be shaky. Also my angle is that me and my twin are hosting the show and were both in the hardcore demographic but we can also get people in other demographics to talk about games and have them play and such... also were looking to help people answer questions and have give aways like if you win a contest we send you a wii download game of your choice

There's good 3rd party Wii games? :O

3 years in and we STILL don't have a 90+ rated original 3rd party game on the Wii. Are 3rd parties even worth a Nintendo fan's time, let alone money?

RE4 has over an 90 rating and its M rated.... okami is another 90 on gamerankings, world of goo. No more heroes got a 90 from gamespot and gave it game of the year capcom vs tatsunoko as gotten a good amount of scores in the 90's and up and its gotten many awards. no more heroes 2 has a higher score overall on gamerankings compared to the first one. I know this is not a good example but monster hunter has been getting better scores with each game they come out here so its possible for it to score a 82 or higher which is really good for that series its really come a long way!

Good idea and good luck with the show. Please don't use words like hardcore/casual, just gamers. If you want to talk about demographics then say girls, teens, kids, adults, but not hardcore-casual.
