@jarrod: Why not, they actually switched the main series to handheld then back to consoles. SE isn't to keen on developing for the Wii, that's it I guess.

I agree SE reluctance with Wii is concerning... but I also think people are reading too much into this release. DQM: Caravan Heart being announced for GBA didn't keep DQV PS2 or Shonen Yangus from happening after...

I'm more the impression that Square doesn't much care for the Wii. Enix has always maintained one stance. They will produce their IP on the largest user base console. Now there haven't exactly been a flood of Enix IP, but from what there has been so far has shown evidence that Enix supports and is holding to the highest user base console.

This split in SE game development seriously shows a distinct difference in regards to management of IP. So it's likely that when DQX comes out it's going to be a solid DQ game.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

This game really wouldn't suit being on the Wii, it's a portable monster collector like Pokemon. It's supposed to be played on the go and such like.

But yeah, I'm semi excited. I loved the originals on the GB, the one on the GBA was ok but Joker was... absymal compared to the others. No challenge, no fun, no random dungeons, no longetivity... bah.
