I don't understand the hype behind Gears. I found 2 dull and boring.
but mass effect 1 is already on the PS3...that's like saying "I don't see fish swimming or birds flying."

If it would come, I think it would be Ps3 exclusive.

Developed and optimised on 360, then ported to the PS3? No thanks. PS3 doesn't need another 2nd rate porting job. If you want to play Gears so badly buy a 360 and enjoy it on the console for which it was developed.

No, it won't be released on the PS3. MS will pay as much as they have to for exclusivity.

But it's not like it'll be exclusive to the PS3, so why would xbox owners care?
that's the way I see this gen, exclusives are going to be only second and first party. And this tendency is going to get worse fast.
It depends on who owns Gears of War. After seeing the deal Microsoft did with Capcom allowing Gears of War characters in Lost Planet 2 I am wondering if maybe Microsoft sits with more ownership on Gears of War than most assume.
For Epic it would make sense to make it multiplatform, no just for the direct financial reasons, but because their main business is licensing the Unreal Engine and their main sales argument being it is a well tested cross platform engine. Having their flagship game not being cross platform undermines that claim and message, because it kinda signals that if not even Epic can make a cross platform game that is equally good an all platforms using their own engine.
That said I am sure Microsoft would be willing to cough up some really major concessions to Epic to keep it exclusive, considering who small Microsofts 1st party lineup is, it is much more painful for them to lose exclusive franchises than it is for Sony or Nintendo.

the thing is, it's made by a third party.
so if microsoft doesn't own the title, i mean owns everything even sequels it can happen.

I honestly don't know but is that really true?
And clearly it would make no sense for Epic to release GeoW 3 on PS3 without the first two... So no.
