Considering that Microsoft only had exclusive rights to the first two Gears of War games. Epic signed a deal with Microsoft for an undisclosed amount that gave Microsoft exclusive rights to release the two games on 360 and the original on the PC. Could the third game: Gears of War 3 be heading to the PS3?

Well if  Microsoft no longer has exclusive rights to Gears of War series it would make logical sense for Epic to bring out the game on both 360 and PS3 to maximise sales revenue and profits.

Anyway if it did happen this would be a bigger coup that Microsoft securing Final Fantasy XIII at E3 2008.

I don't see it happening. Just like I don't see mass effect 1 or 2 coming to the ps3.

nah, Microsoft will pay to keep it exclusive. No way in hell they will let Sony have it.

But If it was eventually to go to the PS3 then it'd would be cool to have the other 2 games come out as well, I'd sure pick it up :)

If Gears of War 3 comes to the PS3....the whole internet is going to erupt, and it's going to be worse than E3 2008. I'm taking a long break off the internet should that happen.

platform jumps midgen is bad publicity for the company....

if GeoW 3 is next gen, then sure, why not.... this gen, no.

No way in hell. Microsoft would never let GEoW go to PS3. That'd be like Nintendo developing Mario for the 360 or Sony putting Gran Turismo on the Wii.

These franchises pretty much make their respective consoles.
