Again, Mass Effect 2 will likely never be on the PS3.  As others have stated, MS has the trilogy.  If for some reason Bioware decides to make another Mass Effect later (and why not, they spent all that time on the world), that could be on the PS3, but not Mass Effect.

One more time-- not every game has to be on every system.  It sucks I know but that's life.  Just like the 360 will never see God of War 1-3 and Metal Gear Solid 4, the PS3 will never see Mass Effect 1-3.

Man, I can't wait to go through all this crap over again when Mass Effect 3 comes out because people used the same exact arguments for how they knew Mass Effect was coming to the PS3 6 months later.

Mass Effect rail shooter to ther PS3 confirmed.  It isn't part of the trilogy, so there you go.

EA might not need money for too much longer if the rumors are true.  They are said to be a heavy partner in Apple's new iPad or whatever they are going to call the tablet.  If they are indeed heavily in bed with Apple and it does a fractionof the iPhone's business, EA could be back on its feet in a big way really quickly.

We shall know more on that this week after Apple's announcement.

This question is like asking "Do you think GTA trilogy will come to XBox?" back in 2004.

Yeah, it will. There's money in it, and we know BioWare has a good PS3 engine, a la Dragon Age.

The question is when, not if. I doubt it'll be soon.

I don't think so. My reasons:
-The first game won't be released on the PS3 (it's published by Microsoft).

-The first 2 games are connected. Also, if you play the first game and you use the same data for the second game, you will be able to see your choices from the first game making effect on the second game and this is one of the biggest focus in Mass Effect (choices).

-Mass Effect is an old game, most of the people who really wanted to play this game already bought the first one for the x360 or PC.

-This is a trilogy and if they can't release the first game on the PS3, they probably won't release the other 2 games on the PS3 because the PS3 wouldn't have all the story. How can you have a trilogy with 2 games?

I think EA owns the publishing rights to the first game, now.  Pretty sure MS is out of the picture.  EA published the Windows MAss Effect 1, so if MS still owns any rights, its for the 360 only.

No, EA has nothing to do with the first game (talking about consoles).

Sure they published the PC version but if Microsoft published the first game on the x360, Microsoft must have some kind of agreement concerning the first game. They won't publish a game for nothing. Why do you think that the first game isn't on the PS3?

Even if EA published the PC version, Microsoft helped with the x360 version and here is where the exclusivity is.

Ninja Gaiden 2 was publish by MS but we still saw it going to ps3....anything can happen specially if its 3rd party.

No and my reason has been covered already. The problem is that people will read too much into any interview and not just stick to the facts. If you want to play ME3 so desperately then buy a 360 or get it for PC, problem solved.
