Actually EDGE gave NMH 9/10 and if they had any sense they would give NMH2 10/10 since it seems better than the first one. 9/10 still would be acceptable.

Who cares about the numbers? It's how people describe the game that counts.

Either way, my only really big problems with the first game was the Overworld and it being WAAAAAAY too short.

The first I knew was going to be fixed, the second I was surprised to find out was fixed as well... by just getting rid of it all together.

Games that aren't sandbox games don't need HUBs in my opinion.

I haven't expected this kind of positive feedback from the critics. I understood the mostly positive marks for the original, being a breeze of fresh air in the wii's core/mature department, and was expecting that the sequel's average mark will be worse (it's a sequel afterall).

I'm so glad I was wrong.

i think it is going to end up at an 88... there is a 7/10 coming which is going to peg it back a bit, then some reviews that should go better than 90+ incoming as well.. All in all its going to take 1 score every 10 or so of 70 that is going to mess it up. Dont forget that Giant bomb is around the corner too. but 88 is a solid score for the franchise.

Destructoid gave it a 9.5

"It's extremely well crafted from beginning to end, and rarely (if ever) sacrifices fun for delivering a message. No More Heroes 2 still makes me laugh, scream, think, and violently wank, even more so after the first play-through. That's more than I can say for almost any game this generation."

This game is reviewing like the Wii's answer to Bayonetta

Edit: to clarify I do not take this as indicative of the quality of the title, I am just commenting on how interesting it is that the press is reacting to it this strongly

OMG it came close to the 90 and being a AAA title (I feel like 2010 is being the greatest year for the Nintendo Wii) GO GIVE THIS A 100!

It had been at 90 all day today, it's just reverted to 89 now because another 85 review was submitted.

I guess it must be teetering somewhere around 89.5 ...

Really depends on the next couple of reviews.
