Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Just picked up tatsunoko vs capcom!

I've been really looking forward to this game, I played through the arcade mode once with Ryu and Joe, same team I played with when I played a few hours of the Japanese version.  Only difference I saw was the end boss actually seemed easier, not sure if that was an actual difficulty change or me being better now, but it seemed a lot easier.

Vs the old Japanese version the menus are a lot cleaner as well, they got overhauled a bit. I couldn't tell if there was a diffierence visually since I played on a small TV and then played the new one on a HDTV so its not really fair to judge.

Played a few rounds with my friend (more like hours) every time he'd figure something out that started to help him put the hurt on me I'd figure out something to do the same and we kept improving until we were about even at the end of the night.  I gotta say some of the matches, combo strings, and epic moves were just too fun and entertaining.  Honestly since me and my friend didn't extensively play the original we couldn't test to see if the same characters are broken this time around or if any of the new characters are broken, but it seemed rather balanced from what we played.

Basically if you like a simple to get into fighter with some deep mechanics later on its one you should pick up.

I picked this game up and No More heroes 2 at 12:02am today! Me and my friends played it until 3. Then I popped in NMH2.

I plan on buying this sometime in Feb. (my first priority is NMH2). If you don't mind me asking, How would you compare Tat vs. Cap to Marvel vs. Cap (2)? Does TvC have as much depth as its predecessor(s)?

                          GETTIN' CHRONOCRUNK

I just canceled my preorder (had at amazon at 22£ with the game currently being at 25£ there).

Then I preordered at Zavvi for 18£ =)
(changed my AVP preorder too it was 1£ cheaper at Zavvi)

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

When you play with just the Wii remote or the Nun chuck set up it is so simple even a toddler can play it. Simply A to attack, B to use special A+B use super, Z to use assist character. One of my friends compared it's difficulty to SSB. The classic and Gamecube controller brings way more depth to the fighting.

just played it

as you can see all the gauges in this version have been changed

so life and special meter etc.

the announcer has been changed

the graphics are more defined when talking about colors, as well as it all looks sharper as a whole

the game has been changed, Arcade mode is now longer, but Yami has become easier, taking more damage as well as the final form NOT pushing you back so extremely much, wich gives you much more of a chance to actually damage him

overall, some other tweaks here and there compared to the original version

I am, however NOT amused by the massacre of the Opening....seriously, they simply decided to kill the amazing intro that Tatsunoko had animated for the game
