No, it will not happen because Square-Enix wants cross play between PS3, Xbox360 and PC players. Xbox Live policy does not permit that.

"Basically, Microsoft is giving away free Xbox Live Gold with every Monster Hunter Frontier Online subscription."

I don't think Japanese will buy the Monster Hunter Online for X360, it will be difficult to improve the condition of X360 in Japan..

Expect a PS3 version. |
Give me your crystal ball.
@OT
I would buy this game. This game is constantly updated and it will have separate servers from the PC version (so we can expect differences).

Cross-platform play wasn't the issue (and XBL does allow it, see FFXI PC/PS2, Lost Planet PC, BlazBlue PC, MHF PC in the future, etc). The problem was Microsoft wants to renegotiate the royalty/fee structure for 360 MMOs.

There's a very high chance this will come to PS3.
Unless you weren't being sarcastic about your reply to me.
So, a 2-3 year old PC (and PS2?) game is THE SECRET Microsoft X CAPCOM announcement ??? i'm sure 360 owners are deeply hugely DISAPPOINTED ! some were even speculating about a DMC5 exclusive, RE6 Exclusive or even a 2D MIRCOSOFT VS CAPCOM !!!! Thing game will flop badly in japan even on PS3 and will Mega flop in the west given the Franchise popularity..
Announcement Rating: MEGA FAIL

I wouldn't. It's really not worth the effort. |
And making it for the 360 is so worth it?
I can't believe people are willing to pay money to play Monster Hunter online. I can sort of understand the fees for other MMOs, but not Monster Hunter.

I'm sure Microsoft made it worth the effort. Sony just doesn't seem to swing that way anymore (unless you're FF)... hell, they can't even get MH3 on PSP within a reasonable timeframe?! :/
