Natal and Arc to be flooded with shovelware?

I just thought that, with some major retailers refusing to stock Wii shovelware (mini games, sports parties, Imagine to be a Baby, etc) due to oversaturated market for this type of games on the Wii, the small devs and even the big devs will shift and flood both HD systems Motion Control Solutions with this type of game and even do Wii ports.

They need quick cash ins to keep on track with high development costs, and if the Wii is oversaturated with that, they can't do their quick cash ins like before anymore on the Nintendo console so...

Do you see the next big wave of shovelware to land on Natal and PS Arc, because there's a lot of room for it in this peripherals and 3rd parties would have plenty of cash for the AAA projects?

I could bet that we will see Ubisoft doing this...

WTF? The paragraphs are on a strike or something?

EDIT: Fixed.

I don't really see much else releasing for them to be honest. Which is just one of the reason why I'll probably never bother getting either.

If they're lucky.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Mostly family titles.. But the Sony and MS screening process isn't completely laughable as nintendo's is.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... Yes, since they are relying on third parties and their own first parties, teams who have no understanding of how to make games for the downmarket

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

i hope not, the to of them could fall into the same hole as the Wii not being able to sell software

True, but thats not the main problem with the reasoning for "shovelware" being put on the wii.

Its hard to button map and theres just not really a good reason to see Natal or Arc used in games like assassins creed or bioshock......no way Arc would work taking down 2 big daddies at once on expert or whatever th ehighest difficulty is.

I expect Natal to be more successful than Arc simply because Arc is far too similar IE: exactly like the wii. That demographic already made their decision....the only way it helps sony is convincing families to get a BD player, and their teens want a PS3 but mom wants EA fitness so they choose the PS3 over Wii....other than that, no one happy with the Wii is going to see Arc as anything but identicle.

IMO MSFT needs to drop this whole "controllerless gaming" with Natal, it needs to be pushed as being used in conjunction with the controller, then it can be implemented in intrigueing ways to complement the controller, if they go gung-ho, which they seem to be doing, with no controller then its shovelware all the way due to lack of control depth and button mapping.

Well that probably fake "kownage" pack sony is probably not making had me thinking:

Why couldn't MS make a cheap holdable controller for natal as well? It wouldn't need motion tracking, just the buttons for games since natal would handle the tracking. MS could also optimise the controller to working overly good with natal, since they could do whatever they wanted to do with it.

I think Natal will be a success because of the media blitz and incoming Microsoft advertising storm. the wand will not because THE controller for the ps3, but I could see it doing Eye Toy success again (relative to the ps3).

I couldnt agree more. They truly have to do this, and then Natal is finally something in the right direction. As it stands now i dont think anyone can fathom how its going to translate, but id still like to see conventional 360 controller and Natal integration to get me interested. As it stands, watching the burnout demo.....im going to have to move my coffee table and ignore everything that makes burnout great, i wont crash billboard, do stunts or even probably complete any race successfully due to lack of finite control.

But as of now, it seems theyre betting the house on controllerless marketing, so we will see.
