Yep. Quite a few times actually. Most recently though has been Gears of War, Resident Evil 5 (don't even get me started), Lost Odyssey, and Excite Truck. All of these games I really wanted to be good and enjoy a lot but they all just failed me in some area. Excite Truck was just awful controls and frustrating to play with rubberband AI. Although they did better with Excitebots, this one was just bad.
Lost Odyssey was actually bought for me as a Christmas present by Outlaw. And you know, it took me awhile to start it, like most games, but because it was a gift I desperately tried to like it. But it was dull, slow, boring, and really characters I could care less for. I know there are a lot of people that liked it, but you can't use that much time to actually get to some form of a game.
Gears of War 1 was the FIRST 360 game I played. I actually didn't have a 360 at the time, but bought the game and played it on my bro's 360. I DESPERATELY TRIED to enjoy this game, see what everyone else was seeing in it, but I came out knowing that I WAS RIGHT and everyone else was wrong... something I don't to often with games. For the most part, I can see why a game is good or people like it without me having to agree. I could not do that with Gears of War. It was a bad single player that was short, RE4 adapter gameplay style that didn't do much for me, boring and silly characters, shortest game I had ever played up to that point, and of course some really gimmicky ideas that didn't add to the actual presentation of the game. Game was an average game but definitely not a stellar one.
Finally, of course the dreadful RE5. This took the awesomeness of RE4, flipped it around again, and sent it straight to hell. Made the game completely into an action game, replaced creepy atmosphere for shock value, worthless character that was Sheva, destroyed Chris and Wesker characters, and provided a story line that made me go in mourning for a few months (hell I'm still in mourning). Probably my biggest disappointment. I wanted to love it so much but I can't.
