You too!? I was really interested in the story when I played the first BioShock story but combat system in these types of games (Fallout 3, Oblivion) are just too boring to bear. Maybe I'll just watch a walkthrough.....Thank god for Youtube and gameanyone.com

Yeah, Chrono Cross, I used to go to my cousin's house to try to like the game, then I compare to chrono trigger and I hate the game even more

I don't think there's anything wrong with you two! I'm almost the same, but I thought it was "passable". but it's not really like Fallout 3 or Oblivion, although it does feel weird to shoot a weapon in Bioshock.

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

oh ya, most recent example being Resident Evil 5

Valkyria Chronicles
Final Fantasy IX

Yep. Quite a few times actually. Most recently though has been Gears of War, Resident Evil 5 (don't even get me started), Lost Odyssey, and Excite Truck. All of these games I really wanted to be good and enjoy a lot but they all just failed me in some area. Excite Truck was just awful controls and frustrating to play with rubberband AI. Although they did better with Excitebots, this one was just bad.

Lost Odyssey was actually bought for me as a Christmas present by Outlaw. And you know, it took me awhile to start it, like most games, but because it was a gift I desperately tried to like it. But it was dull, slow, boring, and really characters I could care less for. I know there are a lot of people that liked it, but you can't use that much time to actually get to some form of a game.

Gears of War 1 was the FIRST 360 game I played. I actually didn't have a 360 at the time, but bought the game and played it on my bro's 360. I DESPERATELY TRIED to enjoy this game, see what everyone else was seeing in it, but I came out knowing that I WAS RIGHT and everyone else was wrong... something I don't to often with games. For the most part, I can see why a game is good or people like it without me having to agree. I could not do that with Gears of War. It was a bad single player that was short, RE4 adapter gameplay style that didn't do much for me, boring and silly characters, shortest game I had ever played up to that point, and of course some really gimmicky ideas that didn't add to the actual presentation of the game. Game was an average game but definitely not a stellar one.

Finally, of course the dreadful RE5. This took the awesomeness of RE4, flipped it around again, and sent it straight to hell. Made the game completely into an action game, replaced creepy atmosphere for shock value, worthless character that was Sheva, destroyed Chris and Wesker characters, and provided a story line that made me go in mourning for a few months (hell I'm still in mourning). Probably my biggest disappointment. I wanted to love it so much but I can't.

OMG yes! lol Unfortunately. I could make quite a sized list.
The biggest one probably being Halo 3. I hadn't played the first two other then local multiplayer at friends houses but I was super hyped for Halo 3 and even preordered the legendary edition and it was the most dissapointing game I've ever played no matter how much I tried liking it. I just recently gave Halo another shot with ODST and while I liked the campeign a good bit more, I still wouldn't call it great. Just good.
Others would include:

The metroid Prime games
Fable 2
GTAIV
Assassin's Creed 1 (not 2!)
The World Ends With You
The Darkness
okami
Just about every racing game I've ever tried
Socom games
The Battlefield series
world of warcraft
Spider-man games after Spider-Man 2
Prototype
warhawk
And so many other games that I should just leave it at that before I write a novel. :/

PS3 Trophies

FF7 and LBP come to mind.

Though I try to like every game I own unless it's done so poorly the controls are unworkable (see Portal Runner, PS2 Mars: Gothic something or another.)

FF12 was like that... but I actually like FF12 now. Still looking for the right time to get through the entire game though.

Yes, all SONIC games since SONIC & KNUCKLES.

I've wanted to love fallout 3 and oblivion, yet can't get into them both. I still think their great games however.

Currently own:
