I was wondering if there is a Battlefield 3 in development for PC, i am a xbox/pc gamer (actually only pc games i play are warcraft 3, cs and bf2)

but then i thought maybe Bad Company 2 is just bf3. So is BC2 "BF3"?

There is one in development, but they are not talking about it at this point (mainly because there is another Battlefield-game that deserves their attention at this point)

I'm still angry they released expansion packs before fixing BF2. They burned a lot of bridges by doing this. And then the awful BF2059 or whatever it was called.

anyways, yes BF3 is in development. It will own console FPSs like BF2 still does. BF2 > MAG, and Im buying MAG since its awesome!

Last I read, and this was from one of the blogs by DICE, They are working on a battlefield 3 which will play more like BF2 then Bad Company 2. It is planned to be a PC only release and will have full DX11 support.
