i wouldn't call anything definite, look at what happen to forza 3 =/

It is the best racing sim on the market... I'd call that definitive. Now if something comes along and beats it down the road...good for them.

Anywho...OT - This is the most anticipated game of 2010 for me. Even without it being definitive Halo. Bungie will want to go out on a bang, so I don't doubt it will be epic.

we already know that already happen :) imo.

Need for speed shift? What else is out that beats forza 2...let alone forza 3?

If the single-player is as much of a throwback as this thread points towards, then there's still hope that I might, just might, own a 360 some day. I held out after Halo 3 and ODST because the single player campaigns were lackluster compared to Combat Evolved.

Currently playing: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, NBA2k11, Metal Gear Solid, Picross 3d

They are talking about the definitive Halo game and Forza 3 is (technically) the best racing sim so far, so Turn10 was right.

@OT

Halo: Reach >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Halo: CE confirmed? I am sooo buying this game!

I'm really Halo'd out... I played and loved Halo's1-3 but really felt a sense of closure at that point. Didn't bother with ODST and wasn't planning on getting this, but if they make a great single player campaign I might rethink that...

Owner of PS4 Pro, Xbox One, Switch, PS Vita, and 3DS

How about if you don't own a 360 and have zero interest in the Halo franchise you leave this thread and go troll another forum. Forza, GT5, PD, Turn 10, etc have no place in this thread at all.

Thanks for the info OP, liking the look of this more with every screenshot and snippet of news.

OK i have only played Halo, ce but as my memory serves that was no sand box. Great game though

assumption is the mother of all f**k ups

If they want to know about being definitive, they need to talk to Turn 10.

NOOOOO thats exactly who they need to avoid

No they do need to talk to Turn 10. If they talk to Polphony Digital, Halo Reach won't release for another 5 years. Turn 10 makes a definitive release date and sticks to it.

dude there is a big difference between being definitive, and just releasing 3 games really fast. And who said talk to PD, halo not trying to be that polished, and perfected, all it's needs to be is a good solid game, nothing ground breaking is needed, this isn't coming out on the ps3 imo.

Gran Turismo hasn't be definitive since GT2. Every since then they've been churning out a prettier version of the same game. Hell GT2 was better than GT3 and GT4 was what GT3 should have been in the first place.

"We got to see an unfinished, but completely outrageous sequence with a swarm of Warthogs going forward with Hornets to meet up an almost as large army of Covenant vehicles (think of the enormous Halo Wars battles). The showdown was immense as smoking Banshees crashed down into Warthogs on the move, resulting in a mind blowing metal massacre. It was a far cry from the pedestrian pace we have gotten used to in previous Halo games."
