I know it's part of a deal as well, but one reason I think Nintendo is strongly pushing this game is because it's pretty much the first and only AAA third party game that's been developed for Wii. In terms of industry perspective, it doesn't matter that Monster Hunter is a completely unknown franchise outside of Japan. They need it to sell in order to dispel the notion that developing an AAA title for Wii is 'too risky'.

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

I'd go further than that and say the promised western push was probably one of the "carrots" Nintendo dangled to even get MH3 in the first place.  Ditto for DQIX/X.

Sony actually did the same thing to secure FFVII way back.

That's what I meant by "part of a deal".

This is going to cost me more because I want a white Pro controller.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Ugh. Now people will only buy the game for the controller, and thus Monster Hunter Tri is not really a game. Just like Wii Play.

This makes Monster Hunter Tri a bargin.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

Classic Controller Pro by itself: $20

Game and Controller bundle: $60

Definitely not the same as Wii Play.

Its the perfect game for a black Wii, casual gaming is the dark side, Wii Sports Resort is the pinnacle of casual gaming, and black represents the dark side.  It's the most common sense color for that bundle
