Forums - Gaming - I'm starting getting fed up with FarmVille!!!

To keep the interest high they tried the silly trick of bloating it with new supposedly nice (NOT!) features and now everybody has its Facebook account even more flooded than before with FV notifications. Not to mention that accepting notifications, gifts, bonuses, mistery gifts, sending thank-you gifts, etc, imply more transactions with FV servers, making the game even slower and more boring. I still like it a bit and I'm still interested in reaching some more levels, expanding the farm one last time and try to make it tidier and nicer, but I feel that I'm very close to flood mark for all the unnecessary and ultimately annoying bits they added... The last time I felt the same was when MS released Word 6 (bloating even the version number, as the previous was the 2.x) and it was such a bloated shit that after having tried it I decided I'd have adopted competitor products for my first PC I was going to buy, eventually I bought WP Suite and good riddance of any MS  SW except Windows...

I'll tell you what I tell my Mother every day "If you're not having fun, quit playing it"

My mom has been complaining about the new features as well, but she just won't quit

It's like a drug! Actually I'd still like it a little bit, but annoying parts make me play it more and more rarely despite still wanting to reach a few achievements. BTW Facebook is getting quite angry towards FV, I don't know whether out of envy or to force them to accept paying higher fees or to address protests of users that don't play FV but have their page flooded by FV messages from their friends, and since the Xmas FV gifts craze they started enforcing a lot of limits.

Facebook and all its stupid applications. It is good if you are a young person. But if you are over 25 there is no real need for Facebook at all.

They guessed a right mix to get some tens million FBK users hooked (of all ages and both sexes). Actually it's the only FBK game that didn't bore me to death after a few tries (like for example those pesky aquarium games), but now it's starting to annoy me. It was easy and relaxing at first, now it's always easy, but not relaxing, it floods the player with too numerous and repetitive tasks and depending on the net this is bad, as it becomes painfully slow and you end up actually spending more time on the notifications page than on the game.

So now I'm trying to config good old Thief III, that I suspended when I upgraded my PC, to run on dual core...
