Forums - Gaming Discussion - Wii Vitality Sensor will overshadow both Natal and Arc

If the vitality sensor is just a pulseox found in any ambulance or hospital, then the actual cost will only be a few dollars. A pulseox sensor is just a led light with a light sensor.

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

Neither. More a thaumaturgic relic. It's Miracle Blade of gaming, and Malstrom is its prophet, no, even more, its Chef Tony.

Relaxation and health primarily, but there are functions in traditional gaming if you're imaginative.

Eternal Darkness comes to mind.

I think Wii Relax will be definitely as popular as Wii Fit is

We'll have to wait what vitality Sensor even does and what games we'll get beofre we say anything. Also the motion Controls can't be sucessful without software that uses it. I'll wait the details for them. Than its more predictable

Many online journalists seem to be suggesting that 2010 is the biggest year of this generation because it is the year Sony and Microsoft supply their answer to Wii's motion controls and Nintendo loses its edge in the market. However, they mostly ignore and have less anticipation for the Wii's answer to continually striving for uniqueness this year: the Vitality Sensor. None of these hardwares so far have released details about what their software line-up is going to look like (unless you include what would have been this thumb-ache), so this is all based on ideas behind the technologies themselves and how people will perceive them.

I myself am willing to predict that the Wii Vitality Sensor will overshadow both the 360 Natal and the Sony Arc. Here are my 10 commandments of why this will be so.

  1. Motion controls on the Wii will have been available 4 years by the end of this year
  2. MotionPlus+ will have been available for a full year
  3. They have been supported by high-quality Nintendo software (high-quality Third-Party software too)
  4. Both 'casual' and 'hardcore' gamers will have titles to make them purchase MotionPlus+ well before the end of this year
  5. Arc is too close to an imitation of the Wiimote to stand out
  6. Natal will have significant problems with application because of its intangible-style interface
  7. Vitality Sensor, Arc and Natal are now all expected to release late 2010 (Arc has lost its major advantage)
  8. Vitality Sensor is the new technology this year and will stand out because of it
  9. As with 3., it will be supported by high-quality Nintendo software in its induction
  10. Nintendo knows how to advertise, and advertise well

Yes,agreed,,, Wii Vitality Sensor is awesome!!!

I have seem the light and it told me the Vitality Sensor WILL overshadow Natal, Gem, and Lil Wayne!!

Gaming make me feel GOOD!

Honestly, I don't think we have enough info on the software that will utilize the VS, Arc, or Natal to really say much in the way of how they will unfold. Tech alone isn' going to sell this add on hardware. The software is.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

But just thinking about the 'VS' is enough to get me giddy like a school girl!!^_^

I really could see the vitality sensor being more like Wii Play than Wii fit. If it comes with a decent game for $50-60 bucks then it could sell loads. Natal and Arc will be far more expensive.
