Forums - Microsoft - Game Informer confirms Forges return in Reach

Another little bit of excitement for us creative gamers has come out of the February issue of Game Informer. We at GamerMade discussed the possibilities of the new armor abilities and what that could mean for Reach but a side note about multiplayer confirmed to us that the Forge will return.

Here is a brief snippet from the GI exclusive cover story, “Bungie confirmed full feature parity with Halo 3, but implied that there were several new features that remain under wraps.  If nothing else, players can expect at least 4-player coop online, two-player coop split-screen, save film features, 16-player competitive matches, and all the other modes that have become standard to the Halo experience.”

So despite the lack of mentioning the Forge specifically, Bungie did agree to full parity so it IS included. Here’s hoping it gets improved for full map creation like it’s grandfather from the Marathon trilogy. THose were the days folks!

Good to hear but not really unexpected

Long Live SHIO!

Not too bothered about forge, it annoyed me everytime I used it because of the awkwardness of placing an object exactly how you want it. Rather they include firefight with online matchmaking

I think Bungie is going to add matchmaking to both firefight and campaign. Both of which would be great IMO. I cannot wait to see what other cool features they are adding. Replays and Forge were friggen great and they helped keep it around.

Would Forge being controlled by Natal be a bad idea?

Great Forge is a great thing.
