Forums - Sony Discussion - Where on earth are the MAG reviews?

Socom, MGO and Warhawk reviews came in after the games launched. Sometimes up to one week after.

Well, most people who have to review, do that on debugging stations. Those do not allow online play, so they have to wait to provide retail-copies so that reviewers can actually review it. That's my guess, since we haven't received any copies so far either.

it's online only therefore the servers are only just being fully prepared, and you can't review an online only game if there's nobody to play with

no idea how to make this properly work

A lot of games dont get reviews before they release, why is this such a surprise

Heavy Rain has a review a month before its release. Most of last year's holiday games had metascores a good week before they released. Not every game is going to get pre-release reviews, but this is supposed to be one of Sony's strong games for 2010. It's got its own "It Only Does Everything" ad!

Americas oreorder charts put it at a likely preorder figure of 253k when it releases. Considering that this game is a very American game, and is likely to be very preorder heavy, I think calling it one of Sonys strong games is an exaggeration. It will sell well, sure. But its nothing massive

They aren't on earth. Try Mars.

This game is entirely online. So how are reviewers supposed to review it if the game is not even out yet?! ding ding ding, question answered.
