I had both my PS3 and my 360 brick on me, but I was only pissed off when my PS3 broke. I really felt like damn, it finally happened to me. I remember thinking I guess RRODs are not a myth just like the OP had.

I was so mad when my PS3 went belly up cause I never play the thing. The 360 gets close to 99% of my gaming time. I only use my PS3 as a movie player. I was not mad on the RROD because I had played to so much. Plus you get a basically brand new 360 out of the deal. You just have to go through the pain of getting all you DLC again to be able to play it offline.

OT: My console is on it's way back now. It's stuck in the UPS distribution center, due to this weekend's snowstorm. Should have it Monday, Feb 8th. Pretty good speed, I'd say. Sent it off on the 25th of January. It'll be 2 weeks exactly.

Here's hoping that they got lazy and sent me a brand new Elite console.
