Forums - Gaming Discussion - Destructoid: No More Heroes 2 Launch Trailer > Mass Effect 2 Launch Trailer

The last line from Travel Touchdown won me over. So No More Heroes 2 > Mass Effect 2.

That's it, I'm preordering No More Heroes 2.

Mass Effect 2 and its trailer can f... er, get in line.

No more heroes is definitely more entertaining than Mass Effect 2. It's the same reason why I'm getting it first day rather than ME2 which will have to wait till next month.

Good on yah!

I think the reason I like the NMH2 one more (besides the fact I liked NMH1) was that it actually looked like a video game. The Mass Effect 2 one tried to represent itself like a hollywood film, to a tee. It showed the developer/studio (Bioware) and the film distributor (EA/Paramount or something) and it did not show a lick of gameplay.

It was just trying so hard to look like a film, but I don't play films, I play games. Now mind you, I'm not much of a science fiction fan either, but damn that was too much. Games these days are trying way too hard to be epic, or even worse, seen as film.

It does highlight a tremendous difference in gaming values, highlighting the split between games with silly and over-the-top stories and games that are focusing on recreating the epic hollywood experience.

In short, this poll could have ramifications beyond just which of these games is better.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Don't agree... no more heroes too looks bad. But I've never played it. It's my impression from the trailer alone, and just my opinion.

Given the fact that 30% of the NMH2 trailer isn't even in-game, I'll pick the ME2 trailer.

It was far more coherent, and didn't make my eyes bleed.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

ME2 looks like a movie, and it's not the best thing for videogame to do, in my book. As for NMH, it has too much of anime spices, but still more interesting than yet another "epicness" from Bioware.

This.

From these trailers, NMH2 looks like a good game, ME2 looks like a summer blockbuster movie.
