Having beaten the game on 360, I did not like the story at all.

How many of the characters in SO4 are mandatory????

What do mean? Like wat i mean is like in SO2 Claude and Rena are the characters the story forces you to get, the last 6( assuming you even want more) you get in your group is up to you... how characters does SO4 force yo to get?

Well, I don't know about the last 4 (as they weren't playable in the 360 version) but the others, yes.
