Forums - Microsoft Discussion - How Halo: Reach will learn from Modern Warfare 2's mistakes.

Let me preface you with this: I am not saying Halo: Reach will be better than MW2. What I believe, is that Halo: Reach will not suffer from the same pitfalls that has made the fastest selling game of all time almost non-playable. The reasons below are why Halo: Reach will be a better gaming experience, not necessarily a better game.

Does this reek of semantics to anyone else?  To me, if one game provides a better gaming experience then it is the better game.

I'm sure Halo Reach will be a great game. I don't think it will be much different from ODST, Bungie revamped the Halo engine for that game, and I have read in many articles Reach will be using that exact engine in ODST. Graphics and Gameplay will be the same, but levels and the game surroundings and multi player is what I think we will see the biggest improvement on. We can all speculate on this game but we will all just have to wait and see. Good Read though.

You got the wrong. ODST used the same engine as Halo 3, not Reach. Reach has a completely different engine and was built independently of ODST, where you play as ODSTs not Spartans so both graphics and gameplay are likely to be much different.

Although they havent shown gameplay footage, and the only 'screens' are leaked pictures of a mobile phone and magazine scans so they are bad quality make it hard to tell what they are like

I think "Murder mode" is stealth mode, where you sneak up behind your enemies and kill them.
We already know how Halo Reach ends, so I assume the game plot involves holding off the covenant while "valuable assets" get evacuated before Reach falls.

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.

That was a pretty crappy read. Sounds like some one didn't like MW2 and just wanted to rant about it cause he loves Halo. Most of it is BS.
