Yeah get PC version - ME for Xbox360 can't even keep stable 30 fps in 720p.
Plus PC version gets much better Mako controls and much better squad leader menu.

Am I the only one who's not interested in Mass Effect. I seen the trailer yesterday here on VGCharts and it doesn't look that good and it definitly doesn't look like an RPG to me?
well buy a 360 for 2 games and add Alan Wake to that list. ME is my favourite game ever and I couldn't personally wait, I even have the day off booked so I dont have to wait until 5pm never mind months.
If ME2 is the only game you feel obligated to play, I'm really not sure it's worth buying an Xbox considering there is a better PC version and you will eventually have to upgrade your computer at some point in time.
If you didn't play ME on the Xbox, then you lose the best reason to play ME2 on the Xbox; carry over game saves. Other than that, about the only reason for going with the console version, if you have a decent PC, is for the achievement points, which while valuable to many, is a pretty weak reason to buy the scaled down version for more $.
I wouldn't hold off specifically for a PS3 version since no mention has yet to have been made. On the wishful thinking side, for those who never played the original ME, odds would be with a late ME2 release, that you could reasonably expect to see it bundled with ME.
The game is story dense and drafted as a trilogy, so you would probably want to/need to play the original first anyway.
Either way, it's not like owning an Xbox wouldn't open up a bunch of other game options if you went that route; I just don't think it's worth buying for one specific game.

I would really hate to get a 360 right now and in a few months here it is coming to my preferred console. Mass Effect is undeniably an amazing RPG and experience as a whole. I cannot go without it much longer than that. I have played a decent amount of the first, but never finished it.
I would like to have discussions on the probability of it happening and if it were, when would it be? |
do you know PC man ?
never fall in the MS trap when you can avoid it so easly !

I m a bit like you, it is more a scfi shooter to me with a mix of RPG. I m not crazy about the settings / art style

Mass Effect is from BioWare, company that was creating for PC for over a decade. Their games are allways experienced best on the PC.
MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising
If Splinter Cell Conviction comes to PS3 then Mass Effect 2 on the PS3 is a given.

A $120 video card like the Radeon HD 4770 is 4x the X360's GPU and $80 cheaper. If your ME does not release on the PS3 just cramp one of these into your PC and be done with it. The average RAM/CPU nowadays should more than enough.
I know how you feel man. Im still waiting on MGS4. Its been what 2 years now... Dam
As others have said buy it on PC.
