I'm... not sure what point your trying to convey here.

Either way, I wouldn't expect MH3 to sell well in the west... because even the PSP MH games don't sell all that well in the west.

The PSP games best sales I think are a little shy of 400K in the US.

What psp game sells really well in the west?

The PS2 games sold worse in the US then the PSP games.

GTA/third person shooters pretty much.

However, the PS2 games don't even have sales data for the US, though they were released here in the US.  I've seen them before in used game stores.

I just don't see it doing huge here... unless they hit the public with a GIANT campaign.

If it even hits 200K call me super impressed.  Hey, i'm not a sales expert though, so feel free to take what i saw with a grain of salt.

You do know that the game is going to be advertised right?

Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true

But to what level is the question.

I'd say 400k for just one region is pretty damn good.

Capcom said they would not push the game in Europe. So Nintendo had to push the game there. Capcom will be pushing the game in the US.

The fact that Nintendo is marketing this game says so much for it's future that it doesn't seem fair to peg it to just one niché group of gamers. If NoE and NoA (if we're are lucky) can achieve the impossible and get the expanded audience interested in MH3 then it will be a success.
