I expect it to settle in at a 95. Metacritic has the annoying habbit of randomly throwing in some low score reviews after awhile. This happened to both Uncharted 2 and L4D2, amongst others.

As for the highest rated game this year, I think it will be Super Mario Galaxy 2. The first one got an average of a 97. All the second one has to do it match it.

Nah, I think SMG2 will be more of the same, it's gonna be 90+ for sure, but it's not gonna have the same impact, it won't be "the new thing". But hey, I don't care about Mario and think it's insanely overrated, so i'm probably wrong.

What i'm finding weird atm is the amount of ME2 PC reviews that give it 88 or 89, which is very specific in that those reviewers still feel the game isn't great enough (although reading the actual reviews, that's not what they say).
