I expect it to settle in at a 95. Metacritic has the annoying habbit of randomly throwing in some low score reviews after awhile. This happened to both Uncharted 2 and L4D2, amongst others.
As for the highest rated game this year, I think it will be Super Mario Galaxy 2. The first one got an average of a 97. All the second one has to do it match it.
