Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Polish gamers organize mass action for legal access to Live!

There is one thing I don't understand. Will Microsoft lose something by including these countries to the live service?

Strange countries like Finland that have just a little more than 5 million people living in has xbox live but a country with 8 times the population doesn't.

The following 24 countries have access to Xbox Live:

Australia , Austria , Belgium , Canada , Denmark , Finland , France , Germany , Hong Kong , Ireland , Italy , Japan , Korea , Mexico , New Zealand , Norway , Singapore , Spain , Sweden , Switzerland , Taiwan , Netherlands , the United Kingdom , and the United States

I do find it hard to believe that they filter by IP though. I am able to open a Japanese account with all access from Canada using a Canadian IP address.

PSN is everywhere or not ?

I don't think that is the problem;  But what if you buy a game that is translated in Polish (did I wrote that right?) they can only download DLC in an other language.

Well actually it's even more funny:

a lot of DLC is translated in Polish despite lack of official Live! support in our country.

And as for IP filter- they don't block access to live! what they use IP filter for is checking what content is accessible from your location AND becouse we are treated like part of Germany and Germany has very strict law about brutality and nazi symbols then certain content is blocked (for example Wolfenstein 3D)

PS. Polish is correct form

If those countrys have no live they cant play Online games ? This would make the Xbox360 really unappealing in my eyes.

Poland is treated like Germany ? You are not able to make a subscription and you have to buy censored german content ?
