Forums - Microsoft - Why do 360 fans defend MS and the 360 so much

Well, rrod costs nothing to the consumer. I've had 1 rrod in the 4 years i've had mine and it didn't cost me a dime. My 120g hd cost me $57 new on ebay - I paid nearly that for my computer's hd. I paid $39 for 13 months of live, which breaks down to $3 per month - can't buy a hamburger for that anymore. And I don't like waiting 6 months - year later for a game to get ported - especially rpgs. Anyone who buys something and they are happy with it are going to defend their purchase. And the OP is obviously a ms hater and is insinuating that we 360 owners are blind and stupid.

All hail Sony is a little over the top bud, I call it as I see it, If Sony did the things MS did, and I was screwed because of it, I would call that to, Sony is not perfect, no one is , but a hell of a lot more ethical then MS.

Still open, eh?  Okay.  I'll play.  For arguments sake, let's imagine Sony DID do something wrong.

Let's pretend that the PS1 and PS2 were unreliable and broke quite often.  Let's pretend that they released a hard drive and didn't support it at all.  Let's pretend that they promised us backwards compatibility at launch and then decided that we didn't need it anymore.  Let's say that they offered motion control that wasn't up to par.  Then what?  Would that change your opinion about Sony?  Would you give them a free pass since they were new to the console business?  Would you still have fun with their games?  Would you defend it?

This is all hypothetical, though.  None of it really happened.  But me, personally -I'd still play Sony games.  I'd still buy their console.
