Well why some games are not on the list or why they are so "low" on the list might be beacuse they where on the 2009 list maybe? and some of them we have even seen gameplay for.

Quite nice list, except for the first place. But each to its own.

They aren't a hive-mind. Much like how IGN can have asshats running around talking about being "Blinded by Mario," but still put out some decent material as well.

In an objective measure of hype, i don't think Galaxy 2 is quite up so high. Other M makes more sense, though.

Well Galaxy 2 deserves to be that high. It is the sequel to the highest rated game of this generation, bar some arguments of GTA IV. I mean not to mention, Mario 3d games have a rep of being some of the highest quality in the industry so not surprising.

Now the whole Metroid: Other M at one is well surprising but guys look at Metroid over the last decade. Hell look at Metroid since it came out. Bar maybe the Zelda franchise, this game has been the definition of quality for the core gaming community. Then Ninty goes and says a new approach made by a new team (Metroid Prime and Retro studios to reminisce) and of course it's going to be hyped haha. I didn't expect number 1, but I knew the game would be on the list.

I disagree with some of the order but they have a solid top 10. Of course if Zelda could have made the list it probably would have been top 3 domination by the Wii Ninty triforce haha. But most of those games I'm looking forward to and shows just how good of a year we have for 2010 which is better than a very bland 2009.

Nope just shows you that everyone still waits for Nintendo to speak and when they say something, gamers listen.  And when they said Metroid and Galaxy 2, we got psyched haha.  As I said, don't see why it is such a surprise.  Core gaming community always waits for what Nintendo has to announce concerning their new and old franchises.
