Forums - Gaming Discussion - FF13 Final meta score?

So far on Metacritic FF13 has 3 reviews.

OPM = 90/100

Everyeye.it = 85/100

RPG Fan = 85/100

What do you think it will settle on?

I say 82.

Around the Network

OXM UK gave it a 9. I believe

Official XBOX magazine UK = 9/10

low 80's is a good safe prediction. I am hoping it drops to the high 70's.

@numonex

Why would you hope that

That's pathetic.

On topic: Predicting these is impossible, because you're basically predicting what dozens and dozens of reviewers will say off of no real evidence (right now, we only have 2 or 3 reviews). This isn't like predicting sales, where we can rely on past sales trends or shifts in market interest. This is simple guesswork.

Generally games which have less than 90's appear first, go on to have low 80's or high 70's scores. I can see alot of reviewers reviewing this low 80's and mid 70's.

What do the main (non MMO also) numbered releases normally score?

From what I've seen, I think upper 80's umm. . . lets say 88. Also, I don't know why but just about 10 seconds ago I got really excited for this game!

i believe a 85 to 90 that would be the case but for me it will always be a 100/100

And that will obviously come true for FF13? Look at the reviews for any Final Fantasy game. They vary greatly. Look at Final Fantasy 10. Despite being over 90% (fitting the randomly given definition of AAA), it still has plenty of 4/5 (or 8/10) reviews, as well as a variety of other scores. Your strategy might work for certain types of games, but not Final Fantasy games. So how about just waiting to see what happens?
