The latest crazy game industry rumors from Electronic Gaming Monthly's long-running Quartermann column have hit the interwebs, and it appears as if a classic wrestling game might be making its debut on Wii in the near future.

Specifically, the scuttlebutt states that THQ's acclaimed WWF No Mercy, developed by wrestling masters Aki and generally considered to be one of the best wrestling games ever made, will be updated with the WWE's current line of wrestling superstars and released via WiiWare download service.

Other rumors this month: BioShock will indeed hit PS3 in 2008, and at least one more Metal Gear will make its way to PSP.

It would be great if No Mercy went to the WiiWare channel. It's the last in the lineage of the greatest wrestling games ever created. They should do more than a roster update though. Some new match types would be helpful also.

 As far as a PS3 Bioshock goes, that would be great for PS3 owners. They've been missing out terribly on this gem.

My roommate was creating a character and wrestling with my other friend just 2 days ago. Still the best wrestling engine ever built.



Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Erm... MS payed 2K Games to cancel it a long time ago for the PS3, it's not coming.

Soriku it says "will indeed hit" which means they are saying the microsoft payoff rumor was false.

this is great news. spread the joy that is Bioshock!

No Mercy was indeed a fantastic Time Waster. I had some interesting matches with a guy who was a true wrestling fanatic (His entire N64 memory card was made up wrestlers to match up with then WCW and ECW wrestlers as best possible).

Though there was a tag team ladder match where I was mysteriously taken out in the first 5 seconds and couldn't get back up for 10 minutes.
