What should Nintendo do about Wii Motion Plus before Christmas 2010?

Release new Wiimotes with WM+ built in 23 47.92%

Free WM+ with anything and everything 10 20.83%

New marketing in order to sell WM+ to casuals 4 8.33%

Console price drops 1 2.08%

New colors 1 2.08%

Other 9 18.75%

Total:48

Simple question. Since Wii Sports Resort hasn't hit 15 million yet i am interested in finding out what strategies you think Nintendo should adopt to increase this new wii remotes market share, especially prior to Natal.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

I voted for Wii motion plus built in, since people wont have to fuss about taking it off and on over again, and then lower the wii price from $199.99 down to about $179.99.

Buying in 2015: Captain toad: treasure tracker,

mario maker

new 3ds

yoshi woolly world

zelda U

majora's mask 3d

Oh and bundle black wii with NSMBWii and Mario galaxy 2 for $199.99, that should help too.

A limited promotion with free or really cheap WM+ could increase those numbers quickly.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

Give more of them out any way possible >_>

chicken or the egg situation. But i agree that Nintendo need another WM+ title in the middle of 2010, irrelivent of 3rd parties.

It's the software that sells the hardware. There's no point in giving away Motion+ for free if there are no games for it. More games would certainly sell more Motion+.

WiiMote with WM+ built-in is what most people, including me, initially thought how WiiMote was meant to be, so I voted for it. Against my interest of possible future buyer, I don't think Wii will need another cut this year, maybe it's more sensible a cut down to $150/130€ on 1 September 2011.
