Arc is ok. It's not tacky like "gem". It doesn't seem particularly appropriate, but it doesn't sound terrible either.

Is it better than Noah's Ark?

I think that Noah's ark is inferior, because it doesn't work with cameras, and Sony Ark does.
Also, Noah's Ark is said to be vaporware, there's no real proof of it, only texts and testemonials by just a few dudes, while Sony Ark is definitely coming out for the masses with no racism.

Now back to the OP: Ark sounds lame but considering the joystick for the Wii is called Nunchuk!!! It might be a good name afterall.

This is probably because when you're waving your hands around like an idiot in front of the camera

and you let go of the controller, it flies at an ARC before it crashes into the wall.

Arc, as in curved line, not Ark, as in the biblical animal ferry.
