Forums - Sony Discussion - PS3 Motion Controller is called "Arc"!

actually arc does make sense, you get two controllers think about it, and on the arc, the animals did march in two by two, lol, just joking.
I actually like arc more than gem, it should appeal more to both gender's, GEM was a girly name, and westerner's would have mocked it without any doubt, I have a feeling that the Ps Arc is going to get delayed...

it's the future of handheld

Arc, sounds lame. They should call it the "Wand"!

Odd. Future. Wolf. Gang. Kill. Em. All. OFWGKTA Don't give a fuck!

Fuck Steve Harvey. FREE EARL!

Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the GREATEST game EVER made!!!

I'd take a bullet for Square-Enix!

Playstation Arc or PS Arc sounds pretty cool.

Sounds better than Gem to my ear. Who gives a shit what they call it as long as they can swing a port of House of the Dead: Overkill for it (plzplzplz!)?

Much better than Gem... but I think an explanation is in order, as the controller looks nothing like an Arc.

Sony- iMote

the motion controlled version of Resident Evi l5 ("biohazard 5: alternative edition") is releasing on the 18th of feb in Japan (according to amazon.co.jp) - so the controller should be released by then, right?

Sphere, or orb would be better IMO, but at least Arc sounds a helluva lot better than "Gem".

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

Arc or Gem as long as Sony motion controller does its job right and not be a total failure

I don't really mind the name. If it was called wand/gem/stick etc it wouldn't make a difference to me. What matters is exactly what it can do, is it just a more accurate version of the Wii controller or will it get unannounced features to compete with Natal? Sony should have stuck with one name ages ago to help build up hype like Natal seems to be doing. Besides whilst my misses was giving birth last week i saw the word "natal" a lot in the maternity word..
