Forums - Sony Discussion - It's odd to know this is going to happen

In 10 years time this shiny high tech beast of a machine is going to be hidden away in a closet with about 2 inches of dust on it and god knows what else. I looked at my PSOne and PS2 (which were both hidden under about 1000 pages and books from school) and thought to myself how great and exciting it was the day I got it and now I just consider them as a chunk of plastic. Sure the PS3 will be replaced with something much better but still it's funny to think this is going to be old news in about 10 years.

We're all going to die

(edit) !!!

Hey at least you were smart enough to keep your old systems. I loved my Sega Genesis/Sega CD, SNES and Saturn too...., but selling them for cash always seemed like a better choice back then.

In retrospect...not so smart at all. I'm holding on to my Dreamcast for dear life!!

That is the natural order of things, a better and stronger piece of hardware will replace the actual one(s).
PS2 is almost 10 years old and i still play a lot, mainly 480p games, almost as on PS3 and PC.
PS1 and Saturn is quite impossible for me to play, too much dated, but i still find fun in some very old games from Megadrive.

Psh! I still have my PSOne and PS2 nice and clean in one of my units.

Odd. Future. Wolf. Gang. Kill. Em. All. OFWGKTA Don't give a fuck!

Fuck Steve Harvey. FREE EARL!

Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the GREATEST game EVER made!!!

I'd take a bullet for Square-Enix!

That what will happen probably. But once in a while im still doing dragon force on saturn with another character lol.

this will never happen to my dear ps3 a rather kill myself then threat that magnificent piece of hardware like that

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

I play SNES and PS1 more then anything, I've never sold a console and I tend to play all of my consoles regularly, even the older ones.

It is weird when you look at your previous consoles.

I still remember how excited I was when my dad had bought me the PlayStation way back in 95. Back then I was a one console gamer, since I wasn't making money.

Now I can buy any console I want. Tend to go for older consoles to experience different games, I've put thousands of hours into my PlayStation gaming and that's a great bond. Hard to believe how protective of my PS2 when I got it. Covered it to keep dust off of it. Zone of the Enders and Smuggler's Run....memories.....

I still have my PS1 and my PS2, my PS2 is still plugged in and working might I add, and I play all my PS1 games on my PS3, so I will never forget any of them.
The PS brand has always provided me with unique, quality games, and that is one thing that you can never forget.

it's the future of handheld
