This generation...hmmm.
1) Gears of War: defined "next-gen" for me.
2) Fallout 3: the music, the world, the atmosphere....this game had it all.
3) Mass Effect: Elevator rides and repetitive worlds; the only smudges on an otherwise flawless game.
4) Lost Odyssey: I had fallen out of love with JRPGs for a while, this game re-kindled the flame.
5) The Witcher: otherwise known as the game that is better than Dragon Age...I can't even believe I'm saying that, but it's true (IMO).
6) Oblivion: I think the only game to steal more of my single player time was Fallout 3.
7) Uncharted - this and my next game justified the $300 I spent on my PS3.
8) Valkyria Chronicles. Art Direction, Characters, Strategy, Story. Check, check, check, check.
9) Halo 3 - the end (so far) to a great series.
10) Shadow Complex...I had forgotten how much fun these types of games were.
