Forums - Microsoft - Got good PC and PS3...Give me reason to buy Xbox 360.

This is the Problem for PS3 and 360

I have the flip problem

Chose the 360 because of a good deal just after Halo Launch. PS3 was then priced at 425 GBP with no games. Got the 360 for 250 GBP bundled with Halo 3, Forza 2 and Dead Rising with extra gamepad. At the time it really was a no contest.

Think I will one day buy a PS3 but because I own the 360 the only things to attract are exclusives.

At this moment in time I am only interested in two PS3 exclusives currently out

Infamous and Uncharted 2

Hence I need to spend 300 GBP in the UK to play just two games. I just cannot justify it.

I'm sure this is true for you as well, except flipped on its head.

Achievements are the best reason to own a 360. I got like 29000 points.

The problem is PS3 has trophies, which are the same but... better, with a gamer level and trophy levels, not just a number.

LMAO, many people would disagree with you there, trophies are a poor mans cheevos, tacked on rubbish tbh, they could have made them soooo much better in my view but a little late now.

I don't see how trophies could be "worse" since they're an improved version of achievements, but to each his own I guess.

The same, but not with numbers, with different trophies and a gamer level. Plus, 3D trophies may come later.

On the 360 side ? Just a number. lol

Having less is better now ?

You don't want one anyway, why stealth troll?

on a serious note:

- Gears of War 2
- Fable II and Fable III
- Forza 2 and Forza 3
- Halo 3, Halo ODST and Halo Reach
- Halo Wars
- Alan Wake
- GTA IV Episodes
- Crackdown 1 and 2
- Dead Rising (?)
- Too Human
- Infinite Undiscovery
- Bayonetta (the PS3 version is.... "limited")
- Splosion Man
- Shadow Complex
- Blue Dragon
- Lost Odyssey
- Dead or Alive 4
- etc

I somehow doubt "Too Human" or "Splosion Man" are games which could make someone buy a 360... But ok there are still some left.

If you are an Halo and Gears of War fan basically.

All the other good stuff you can play in your PS3 or PC (if you got a high end one)

I love how etc is a game in every console line-up. Best multiplat ever.

To be honest there isn't much reason to get a 360 if you have a gaming PC and PS3. You have the majority of everything covered.

^- well it sounds like you've made up your mind.

Pretty much this. Don't make this topic again with the attitude you have.

Thread locked.

I have both an Xbox 360 that I bought two years ago and a PS3 that I bought about 3 months ago. Ever since I've been asked by people which of both they should get, and my usual answer is that I would recommend the 360 to exactly two kinds of people:
1) People who want to play pirated games, and are not interested in using Xbox Live (or don't care buying a new 360 at least once a year)
2) People who are really interested in one of the few important 360-exclusives (Forza, Halo), but don't care for one of the PS3's exclusives

Now judging from what you've written so far, I guess a 360 would soon just collect dust - like mine has been doing ever since I bought my PS3.
