We'll wait and see. I'm waiting to get Monster Hunter 3. The game looks great and we may finally get a 3rd party game that'll be played as much as my nintendo games.

It sold spectacularly, too, in Japan. Hopefully this title will achieve similar success so as to show 3rd parties that they CAN have a good success on the Wii.
Gaming-wise it looks to be the best year by far.
Sales-wise it will be interesting to watch. Monster Hunter, Zelda and Wii Relax have the potential to be system-sellers, but we need to know more about the latter two. If they don't deliver, this year could fall lower than last in sales.
Monster Hunter 3 Tri- I said before it will sell 1.85m worldwide, but if Nintendo really promotes it properly, and I mean like one of their own titles, it could be a smash hit, in the 3m+ range.
Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. " thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."
SaviorX said: Everyone here pretty much summed it up. There already 12+ titles worthy of a purchase that were announced for 2010, and then the ones wwe have yet to know about, so it will be a great year. Honestly, does everyone have ~$600 on tap for one Wii game a month? |
I wish I had that much money sitting around-- but time is also a factor for me when it comes to playing videogames (actually, time is the biggest factor.
While there would be a huge meltdown on the internet, I almost wish that 2011 will have almost nothing-- just so I could have the time and money to play everything I want to in 2010 (I still I have a huge list of WiiWare and VC titles that I want to download-- I just haven't had the time to play them yet).

When you put it that way, the Wii isn't doomed after all! This day has ended on a positive note!

As with the countless other threads we have going for this same subject, it will depend on if third parties actually come through and actually support the Wii. And more than just make a few avg quality games for the system, they need to throw some advertising behind those games and stock the games in stores.

Two fads duct taped together will tend to do that. ;) All I'm saying is .2% market loss in 3 months. Exponential market loss, I'm telling you. |
