The world cup has our names on it. Aslong as Carson, Campbell, Robinson, Neville, Heskey don't go i think we will win.

What's wrong with Heskey?

he's useless...he's overrated...he never scores...

theres 3 things that are wrong with him

England Strikers for the world cup should be from these:

Wayne Rooney (no doubt he has to be in the squad, one of Englands best players atm and will be key to our aims)
Jermain Defoe (great form for club and country of late)
Darren Bent (great club form and hopefully can be useful for England)
Peter Crouch (his height gives us a different threat going forward, if nothing else is a good sub as he can catch opposition defences off-guard)
Carlton Cole (good club form)

3 or 4 of the above 5 should be in our squad imo

no need for bent, otherwise agree with walcott also going a bit of everything

hmm, I been more impressed with Walcott as a AMR for England

on the Owen thing, I dont think he should go unless he does better for United, hope he does (as im a die hard Utd fan), but likely who wont be in contention

yes well walcott can do both jobs,if needed

take milner too and those two can cover alot of positions,

                                                                                                                                        Above & Beyond

yeah, midfielders should be all/from:

Walcott
Milner
Young
Gerrard
Lampard
Barry
Beckham
Hargreaves (hope he is fit)
Joe Cole
Downing
Carrick (maybe, im not even convinced on him at times)

probably more I forget too

lennon,

i can think of people for every position,i will give you my squad later,

the only place is back up for ashley cole,i wouldn't take bridge,he is not good enough

i wouldn't bother with downing and carrick, personally, can hargreaves get fit for the summer he has been out along time now

                                                                                                                                        Above & Beyond

What about defence? I think England's choices are more limited. John Terry and Ashley Cole are almost certainly going. Rio Ferdinand may still be nursing an injury and may not have played enough by the time the World Cup starts. Glen Johnson is also injured at present although was playing well offensively for Liverpool before. Other potentials:

L. Baines
P. Jagielka (expected back from injury soon- I think he should go as he's played well Everton and can stop Torres if we face Spain)
Carragher (although his form at present is terrible)
M. Richards (see above)

Do we even have a good right back?

carragher reitred from the national game,

i'd take johnson and richards as the right backs, they are young and make mistakes, but i don't see anyone better around and they both pose a threat going forward which is ultimately what you need in international footy, unless you're italy

                                                                                                                                        Above & Beyond

sure, but the BIG problem, especially with Johnson is defending, several times in recent England games (some against not exactly big teams) we have looked exposed because theyve been caught to far upfield

yep i realise,i'd taKE G NEVILLE if he is fit, infact he'd be mu england captain, can you think of anyother right backs

Luke Young maybe? its a problem position imo

Neville has fitness problems and has barely any pace left, idk about him, maybe if he does well for United toward the end of the season

Lol, you made a list of all the player that shouldn't go instead of mentioning the players that should?

If you're makeing a team and don't know who to send then I would hope you at least know who not to send

Starting 11

Robert Green (GK)

Ashley Cole (LB)

John Terry (CB)

Rio Ferdinand (CB)

Glen Johnson (RB)

Ashley Young (LM)

Gareth Barry (DM)

Steven Gerrard (AM) (C)

Aaron Lennon (RM)

Wayne Rooney (ST)

Jermaine Defoe (ST)
