The bolded is the reason why most american's who are interested in core gaming buy a 360 over a ps3, they have that in there heads. And people say fanboys(this is not directed at anyone on this site) can't influence people's decisions..

That's an absolute lie.. its just as easy to find and play with friends on psn as it is on XBL.. the communication is really the only thing that's different.

yes, its beyond worth the $300, make sure you buy an HD TV some time too.. the graphics will impress you. Along with the multimedia features which will likely make you say "WHAT? IT CAN DO EVERYTHING?"

If this is your only concern.  You should really buying one, else i don't see you ever buying any consoles at all.  As the technology has evolve by daily basis (same as mobile phone, computer etc)...You should buy it just to enjoy the game instead of worry when is the next new technology will be due.  

why would his first game be uncharted 2? Uncharted 1 (aka Uncharted: Drakes Fortune) would be the obvious game to buy and play before the second.

Anywho, yes it is a good time to buy one. PS4 will not be out for another 3-5 years. I would recommend Uncharted 1 then 2, Killzone 2 (the first killzone on ps2 if you wish to play it), Batman AA, WKC (coming out in feburary), Heavenly sword, Darksiders, and whatever else suits your fancy

dont forget the soon to come Gran Turismo 5, add that too your collection

PS4 won't be released before a few years so you really shouldn't worry about that. PS3 is just starting to take off, you can buy one now.
