IGN are evil
killeryoshis said: I reed some of it. I see it as a reason to hate on IGN now. Thanks for posting this Though I think they think their is a war going on right now. Motion controllers vs traditional controllers. A huge war. Involving the whole industry. The sad thing for them is. Motion controllers are winning and also crushing them. It won't be long before te armies of motion control march into traditon controllers town. Taking down all the people who oppose them. They are in bitterness of deafeat. They think there is a way to change it. Though what many people should know is that you can't stop the revlution. You can stop change. Its too late now. |
Motion controllers are just a weapon in the war, the war is really about values and (market) territory.
A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

The war is about which controller becomes standered not how you make your money
SO... In other words, I'm a dwarf? o_O
Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...
I will read the whole article later, but from what I've read, it's a very creative and interesting take as to where IGN Nintendo is headed. It's sad really, because the original N64.com and later Ign64.com was not only one of the first Nintendo websites I visited back in the mid-late 90s, it was also one of the first websites in general that I ever saw when I was first getting acquainted with this new thing called the internet (new to me at least).
Now I simply can't go there anymore, not necessarily because many of their Nintendo articles have turned into Nintendo bashing rants, but from the mentality that comes with this. They treat their readers like crap; like lesser people who are blinded by Nintendo products and they act like they are trying to "show them the way." They have turned on the fanbase that made them popular. I simply cannot respect an organization that treats its own customers like such shit. after a good 10 years, I am done with Ign for good. I don't feel I should be giving website hits to such a site. Now I only frequent vgchartz, gonintendo, and occasionally GT for my gaming releated news, and amazon reviews for game reviews (I find a majority of average gamers to be more trustworthy than one gaming journalist with a possible agenda).
LOL, a little melodramatic, no?
"The worst part about these reviews is they are [subjective]--and their scores often depend on how drunk you got the media at a Street Fighter event." — Mona Hamilton, Capcom Senior VP of Marketing

Not that I hate IGN. They just dont have anything for me.

You don't really need to go to sites like IGN or GameSpot anymore anyway. Now adays, there's sites out there dedicated purely to gaming news (like this one) and purely to videos (gametrailers/youtube) which pretty much make those sites obsolete. And they know it. That's why they're throwing these fits and making everything about opinions. Its the only way they'll keep an audience.
