Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Bitterness in the Wii fandom?

I don't know about you guys. But,wii fans are doing a terrible job at defending nintendo. But I blame them for getting tired of all the stupid things companies are doing. I yet to get tired of it. yet

Tag:I'm not bias towards Nintendo. You just think that way (Admin note - it's "biased".  Not "bias")
(killeryoshis note - Who put that there ?)
Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true

look at the load of crap that 3rd parties have released on the Wii, I still hold on to my Wii because i'm looking forward to Metroid and Zelda, other than that I have no other reason to keep my Wii hooked up

my signature went on strike, it's demanding 3% raise

All third parties should sink in their pricey HD flops.

They're like that on pretty much any gaming forum right now.

It's the same people - they are simply on many different gaming forums

That said presently I feel the same way, though my guess is that at least part of this sentiment is from reading so many such threads (just like hype is built, so is disdain...)

Currently Playing: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Professor Layton and the Curious Village

Anticipating: Xenoblade, The Last Story, Mario Kart 7, Rayman Origins, Zelda SS, Crush3D, Tales of the Abyss 3DS, MGS:Snake Eater 3DS, RE:Revelations, Time Travellers, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Luigi's Mansion 2, MH TriG, DQ Monsters, Heroes of Ruin

"Hardcore" gamers (or 1337/ubers, whatever they call themselves) are mostly the angry nerd types who flock to the Xbox/PC gun games and dungeons of dragons PC RPGs anyway. When have they ever been someone Nintendo should even bother to focus on?

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Well Nintendo is being lazy. I think it's starting to become more of a greedy company and trust me sometimes I wonder if they learn from there mistakes. And why did they name the console "Wii" when it doesnt even cover the whole we part. There are more concentrated with core and casual. What about the hardcore? That is part of the Wii they are yet to do anything about. Sure Metroid but what else?

Errr... you're missing the point of this thread, you should read more than the title before you post - this is not a "Wii fandom is bitter with the Wii" thread, it's a "Wii fandom is bitter with 3rd parties" thread.

Or......people could stop bitching about this stuff. If the first party Nintendo games satisfy you, why do you care so much about 3rd party games? If you really want to play their games go buy a xbox/ps3. I really don't get all of this drama sometimes~~

We won't buy $60 versions of games with weaker controls and graphics that hit the uncanny valley and are dirt brown.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

I would say I'm more annoyed by 3rd parties now than I used to be.

Their whining about their lack of success is probably what has done it....when it seems obvious to everyone but them why their software isn't selling.

When I hear things like Ubisoft are now only expecting Red Steel 2 to sell 500,000 at best..instead of a million.....that just makes me assume they are probably going to cut their marketing budget in half..and obviously have half as many units on store shelves....

...which pretty much creates a situation where the game is doomed to failure before its even been released.

Its just people waking up to the signs of a broken and dying industry, just happens that the Wii owners are the most aware of these events

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!!
