Considering that many of them are bitter at the mere idea that non-gamers are getting into games, or the fact that Nintendo is successfully selling to these "casuals", or are worried of the threat of the dreaded motion controller becoming the standard, I can quite imagine them being bitter about getting cheap 'test games' instead of games that are really competing for their interest.

In some ways, the PS3 went through the same phase.  The difference is, the PS3 eventually did get thegood games.  In fact, now they're getting most of the good support.  Whereas the Wii is still getting the weaker support to the point that all these companies are blaming the Wii for their financial problems.  When its been proven that a great deal of them are making more money on their Wii games than all their 360/PS3 endevors.  And what kind of games did we get from these companies?  Stuff like CoD: Reflex, My Sims Agents, The Conduit and my favorite, Toy Story Mania...an upgraded version of Carnival Games with the Toy Story characters....

You should look up the reaction PS3 fans gave when Monster Hunter 3 became a Wii exclusive or when DMC and FFXIII became multi-platform, going by those reactions they'd be much worse then anything you see in Wii forums as they had actual petitions.

So Threepee makes cheese sandwiches: Just a couple pieces of Wonderbread with a slice of processed cheese in the middle.

At first, things go well. Customers are tired of waiting in line for club sandwiches, so they try a cheese sandwich for a little variety. Threepee thinks this is great, and starts making more and more cheese sandwiches.

But the customers aren't enthused. Where's the tomato? The turkey? It's a little unsatisfying. So they go back to waiting in line for club sandwiches.

Threepee's response to this development is anger. He's spent a lot of money on Wonderbread and processed cheese. Rather than trying to make club sandwiches, or coming up with a sandwich that's different, but just as satisfying, Threepee angrily blames the customers of the Wii Deli for not buying his sandwiches. He tells them that he thinks they're ignorant people who don't even like sandwiches and storms out of the deli.

Now tell me, do the customers of the Wii Deli have any reason to find Threepee annoying?

I would rather eat a nice fresh deluxe submarine sandwiches rather than some half ass hand print in my sandwich,throwing together in less than 30 seconds that looks unappealing and cost the same as the big deluxe fresh submarine sandwich.

 

(Now before someone catches feelings and reports me for trolling the Wii, let me say this thread is about 3rd party, nintendo makes great quality first party games but the 3rd party is shit)

My point is that it's been quite clear for a while that Wii wasn't going to get the same kind of games as HD consoles.

If those are the games you want, buy the platform that has them...

Ever hear any console owner complains they are not getting MMOs ?

Nope, people that want to play those play on the PC....

That's a typical fallacy which pops up in this debate. Who told you these Wii fans want to play the exact games that the 360 and PS3 have, with PS3 and 360 controls?

You know what, I'm sick and tired of this, I am just a gamer who happens to prefer Wii but I'm not some fanatic who praise Nintendo everytime they open their mouth. I don't lick Reggie's toes.

Some Nintendo fans really are annoying in how they drop all logic and sense in defending their God and take every bit of criticism against Nintendo as a terrorist attack. I hate it, not only is it annoying to see these people use the company I love just to defend their own egos, but it makes some people think all Nintendo fans behave like that, and we get "Nintendo fans are ignorant", "Nintendo fans are blind", etc.
(This can be applied to the fanbase of Microsoft and Sony as well.)

Something else I'm tired of hearing is that I'm ignorant or an idiot for being satisfied with the library my console of choice have. I'm perfectly fine with the games I can get for the Wii, and I'll probably not have enough time to play through all the games I want before this gen is over. That's just me, it's because of my taste in gaming.
Everyone will not be satisfied in owning only Wii though, I'm fully aware of that, I wouldn't be satisfied in owning only a 360 or a PS3 because I want to play Metroid and Zelda, but again, it's because of my taste and I won't hate on other people for not sharing my opinion. That would just make me look like an idiot and show how limited I am.

End of meltdown. Now I'm gonna have some bitter cake.

I agree with you, is only a small fraction of nintendo fans that are acting this way, and I really like the way you presented this and your reason to having a WII is the right one in my opinion. Also Im glad that you showed me that not all the Nintento fans in the forums are acting the same way. thanks It gives me hope that this nonsense will stop someday. I apologize to YOU for what I said because you are not like that but honestly Im tired of every topic being about the WII third party situation and how the WII deserves every game known to man, when so many good things are happening all around.

Gamers love your console and buy you console if you like what it has and forget about everything else, this is a hobby and we are supposed to enjoy it

Stop acting like your console of choice is a gift of god and thinking that anyone that criticize Nintendo or Regie is an heretic and just enjoy what you have or switch if you don't like it......
